Saunayoga - Wellbeing from the Finnish Sauna
In order to experience a complete feeling of calm and relaxation, a little "me-time" is required.
However, even if the pace we lead our lives today is faster than a few generations ago, there is hardly any more time for ourselves. That is why we increasingly feel the need to counter-balance the scales and look for spaces thta offer a break from the hectic and anxiety-filled work life.
Saunayoga combines the quietness and warmth of the sauna with simple yoga poses and breathing exercieses to maxime the feeling of well-being and relaxation.

What is Saunayoga?
Saunayoga is a 30-minute exercise based on different yoga styles and practised in a sauna heated to approximately 50 C degrees. Saunayoga is done sitting down on wooden benches, and is suitable for individuals with private saunas or for groups in larger facilities such as gyms, spas and hotels.

Saunayoga is an all-encompassing exercise for the body and the mind with an aim to unite the two through movement, breathing, warmth and silence.
Saunayoga has a deep relaxing effect with an additional benefit of increased metabolism and removal of toxins. It is an ideal workout for anyone regardless of age, size of level of fitness and requires no previous yoga training experience.

The poses help to strengthen the body, increase mobility, improve concentration and turn our attention on being in the here and now.

Many of the poses are simple and the challenge is purely in repetition and in holding them for long periods, even for several minutes.

Preparing to Saunayoga:

- You need a short comfortable clothes with you
- Drink plenty of water before the program and after the program
- Do not apply moisturizer on your skin prior to the program
- Remove jewelry, which can become very hot in the sauna
- Long hair recommended be tied
